William Chris Vineyards is a stand-out collection of wine brands based in the Texas Hill Country and a standout voice in the American wine scene. Their flagship offering, William Chris Vineyards, was founded in 2008 by longtime growers and winemakers William “Bill” Blackmon and Chris Brundrett. The company was born from a shared belief that great wine is grown, not made. We emphasize Texas terroir, thoughtful farming, and minimal intervention from vine to bottle.
Located in the scenic town of Hye, Texas, roughly 20 miles west of Fredericksburg, William Chris has grown from a modest operation into one of the state’s most respected wine producers. Boasting the most 90+ point scores of any Texas winery, William Chris puts quality at the forefront, alongside world class hospitality in our tasting room operation. International recognition has followed; the winery was ranked No. 31 on the prestigious World’s 50 Best Vineyards list in 2025, underscoring its role in elevating Texas wine on the global stage.
